I completed a level 4 diploma in Holistic Massage therapy at the Sheffield Centre for Massage Training during 2015 and 2016. This year long course covers everything needed to offer a professional massage therapy service to the public and is assessed with a combination of practical assessment and examination. Along with massage techniques, we studied how to handle working with people, taking medical histories and their impact on a massage, along with a large amount of Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology.
This course is a MTI diploma. MTI courses are considered the “Gold Standard” for massage training in the UK, committed to excellence in the training, assessment and practice of client-centred massage.
I also have a valid first aid certificate, training provided by Rick Cotgreave of ITC First Aid
In 2017 I will be starting the MTI Post Graduate Diploma in Holistic Therapeutic Sports & Remedial Massage at SCMT which will expanding my skills to include postural assessment, injury assessment and rehabilitation for both athletes and non athletes.
