MTI North hosted a training day a few weeks ago to which I was helping as an assistant for. The subject was Myofascial Release:
Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.

The day was hosted by Claire Feldkamp, our MTI North representative, and Jane Midgley of Wolf and Flow. They took the attendees through a series of exercises designed to get the participants to ready to begin to interact with the bodies fascia before getting hands on with a set of direct and indirect techniques.
I spent a lot of the time taking photographs to get a nice visual record of the event, but did get the chance to get my hands on and join in with some of the techniques being tried out. Quite a few of the participants were blown away by the gentle, yet powerful sensations interacting with the fascia could create and we might have inspired a few people to continue training in this area.
